Kentucky Bureau of Investigation agents raided a Jeffersontown business eleven days ago, finding $580,000 worth of internet drugs. Since the seizure, agents have discovered that what was confiscated included enough ingredients to make 150,000 doses of illegal anabolic steroids. Attorney General Greg Stumbo says some of what was seized was "destined for Kentucky residents and Kentucky locations."
Stumbo voiced concern that teenagers were likely recipients of some of the steroids from the rogue internet pharmacy distributor, which was operating as Advanced Pharmacy Services. Stumbo says it was not a retail pharmacy, but hub to distribute illegal internet drugs.
"They really hadn't gotten into business and they really hadn't gotten into production," said Stumbo. "They had only been physically open we believe for a matter of days."
The company's manager and pharmacist were arrested.
