Man Gets Probation In Steroids Case

Man Gets Probation In Steroids Case November 16, 2006 A Lakeland man was sentenced to probation Tuesday following an investigation into steroids sent by mail from Lithuania. Heath Satallante, 32, was sentenced to 36 months of probation after he pleaded guilty to seven counts of possession of a controlled substance, including testosterone; three counts of bringing a controlled substance into the state; and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Satallante was arrested by Lakeland police in May after he had several hundred steroid tablets mailed to him, police said. The steroids were shipped to Satallante from Lithuania through the United States Postal Service, according to a Lakeland police report. A total of 311 steroid tablets, 20 ampules and 19 vials were seized from Satallante's apartment, the report said.
