Man Charged With Steroid Possession

May 12, 2006

A Lakeland man was arrested Monday after he had several hundred steroid tablets mailed to his apartment, Lakeland police said.

The steroids were shipped to Heath Satallante, 31, through the United States Postal Service, according to a
Lakeland police report. Postal Service employees became aware of the contents of the package, which had been shipped from Lithuania, according to the report.

A warrant was obtained to search the package, which was found to contain several different brands of illegal steroids, the report said.

The package was then delivered to Satallante, who took the package and brought it into his home.

Police then served a warrant for Satallante's residence,

411 Garden Drive, No. 3
. When they searched his residence they found more than a dozen syringes, the report said.

A total of 311 steroid tablets, 20 ampules and 19 vials were seized from Satallante's apartment, the report said.

Satallante was charged with possession of steroids and bringing a controlled substance into
Florida, both felonies, and a misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
