KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Police said a raid at a metro-area home Tuesday netted some illegal steroids.
KMBC's Donna Pitman reported that officers came to the home at 3907 Rowland Ave. at about 7 a.m.
The police were checking on a possible parole violator, but officers said they found contraband, including an illegal steroid operation and evidence of counterfeiting. Police said they also found a homemade firecracker.
Pitman reported that the alleged steroid find is rare.
"I've worked in the department for four years, and this is the first we've come across it," Capt. Michael Webb said.
"It's very odd. Something never happens around here, "said Charles Nixon, who has lived in the area for about two years.
A man and a woman were taken into custody on outstanding warrants. No names were released
