COLLEYVILLE - Police raided a Colleyville home Tuesday and arrested a father and son in connection with the sale of illegal steroids.
Commander Herschel Tebay of the Tarrant County Narcotics Unit said that the arrests had no connection with the Colleyville-Heritage High School steroid scandal, in which nine students admitted illegally using the drug in the 2003-2004 school year.
“We have no evidence this was tied to that deal. But we’re very sensitive to steroids in northeast Tarrant,” Tebay said.
Bryan Pomeroy, 21, was arrested on suspicion of possessing an illegal substance with the intent to deliver.
His father, Gregory Earl Pomeroy, 52, was also arrested at the home in the 4100 block of Beckley Court on suspicion of misdemeanor possession of human growth hormone and traffic ticket warrants from Irving and Dallas.
Tebay said there was a significant number of steroids in the home, and at least five different types of the drug.
Both men have been released from jail, according to documents obtained from Colleyville police.
Bryan Pomeroy posted $22,500 bail and Gregory Pomeroy posted $1,438, documents said.
The Pomeroys could not be reached to comment.
