Nerbovig Charged in Steroid Case
A former Chippewa Falls High School math teacher was charged today with selling steroids.
According to court documents 61-year-old Greg Nerbovig sold steroids to a confidential informant at his North Eau Claire home. It happened from March until the end of July. Investigators say the informant turned the steroids over to a special agent with the Department of Justice. The complaint shows the informant got 128 syringes of steroids from Nerbovig, all of which investigators say tested positive for the drug.
Today the Chippewa County D.A.'s office filed four felony counts, including three counts of delivering steroids and one count of possession with intent to distribute.
Court documents show Nerbovig also tried to recruit the informant to sell steroids for him. If convicted he faces up to 24 years in prison. He'll be in court Tuesday.
