Where Does It All End?
Where Does It All End?

Yesterday the QB Coach for the Cowboys, Wade Wilson, was suspended for 5 games for taking HGH as a coach. Wait, he took a performance enhancer as a coach and now he is suspended! You've got to be kidding me! This is the straw that will break the camel's back. It's not like Wilson is the "head" coach either. He is the QB coach. If Goodell punishes the little guys, how much more will he punish Norv Turner for losing with all those Pro Bowlers on the Chargers team?
Ok, I get picking on Barry Bonds,;he deserves it. I understand picking on Giambi, Chris Benoit, and any other athlete who takes steroids while they are playing the game, but suspending a coach for taking HGH is like suspending Charlie Weiss for gastric bypass surgery. Better yet, anyone taking medical marijuana should be suspended as well.
Wilson is a diabetic. He was trying to improve the quality of his life. He was not trying to improve his performance as a coach. I understand taking steroids as a PE is the wrong message for young people, but taking HGH to help him as a diabetic is not appalling to me at all.
While the commissioner is well within his rights to suspend Wilson, I think this is one of those cases where he could have shown a little mercy. No one expected him to bench a coach for 5 games. This leads me to wonder if the commissioner is now going to bench Andy Reid for his son's transgressions. Will Goodell punish coaches for DUI's? How far will he go?
