Nine-time major championship winner Gary Player said he is certain that a small percentage of golfers on the world's professional men's tours are using steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs.
The 71-year-old South African estimated that about 10 golfers among the more than 700 men's professionals worldwide used drugs such as steroids and human growth hormones.
"It might be lower but it could be a hell of a lot more," Player said at a British Open news conference at Carnoustie, Scotland. "I know for a fact that some golfers are doing it."
