A West Davidson High School student was charged Tuesday with possessing steroids at school.
Jacob W. Ragan, 17, of Michael Road, was charged with possession of a schedule III controlled substance, according to a press release from the Davidson County Sheriff's Office. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
The school resource officer received information from other students that Ragan was in possession of steroids, according to the press release. Administrators and the school resource officer located an unknown substance and drug paraphernalia in Ragan's possession.
He was placed in the Davidson County Detention Center under a $500 secured bond. Ragan has a Sept. 24 date in Lexington District Court.
