Prison Guard and World Gym Personal Trainer Charged with Selling Steroids to Inmates

Prison Guard Personal Trainer Charged with Selling Steroids to Inmates | steroid.com

Two Arthur Gorrie prison guards having officially been charged with selling anabolic steroids to prisoners.

Prison guard Billie Raven John Siolo and his colleague Daniel Arriagada worked together at the Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre in Wacol, Australia earlier this year. The pair also smuggled illegal anabolic steroids into the prison and sold them to inmates.

Siolo and Arriagada conspired with a third unidentified man from Brisbane to source and supply the privately-operated prison facility with muscle-building drugs. The men became targets of an investigation earlier this year after police were tipped off to their smuggling of contraband.

The men were officially charged on December 15, 2018. Siolo was also charged with possessing a restricted weapon. The three men have since been released on bail.

The prison guards were busted by investigators with the Crime and Corruption Commission.

The Queensland Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) Taskforce Flaxton spearheaded the investigation into steroid trafficking at Arthur Gorrie. The CCC is responsible for investigating allegations of corruption in the Queensland prison system.

Arriagada resigned from the Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre earlier this year. The reasons for his departure were not publicly disclosed although it seems likely that it had something to do with the steroid investigation.

Arriagada is currently employed by the World Gym Ipswich location as a personal trainer. He also has a private personal training business for recreational, amateur and elite bodybuilders and athletes.

World Gym Ipswich celebrated Arriagada’s hiring in a message posted to its Instagram account. It described the accused steroid dealer as an “all around cuddly bear”.

“We are excited and proud to announce the arrival of our newest member,” World Gym Ipswich posted on Instagram. “Coach, trainer, competitor and all round cuddly bear.”

Siolo and Arriagada were close friends in addition to being colleagues and partners in crime. They shared videos on social media in which they lifted weights together and partied together.
